The best place I have ever, ever, ever stayed in. I have travelled to many places but when I walked in the door of The Maze, I felt it in my bones that this place was special. Without a doubt the most original place to stay in Rio, the Maze is a home, a music venue, an art gallery and an institution tucked away at the top of a favela. The best place in Rio to listen to Jazz, maybe even in Brazil. Wonderful climate, unusual construction, panoramic views. The way there is an experience by itself.
